Hi and Welcome to Peg's Yarn Barn Forum. I have only a few short do's and don'ts for the forum.
1. Please...no profanity or inappropriate materials whatsoever here. We are a clean, family oriented site and I know that there are always words to substitute for bad language. Anyone using profanity on the boards will have one warning only before access will be denied.
2. It is imperative that any and ALL patterns or projects listed or shared here be given credit to the original designer. Being a designer myself, I understand the hard work and time that goes into creating an original pattern. Designers DESERVE to be recognized for their work. Not only it is empowering, it is fun for folks to know whose talent went into creating the awesome patterns we'll be sharing. If you have a pattern to share and you're not sure who created it, do a little online research and I'm sure you'll find out the source of the creation. If you just can't seem to find it, PM me with the details and I will do my best to find its originator so you can share.
3. Advertising is allowed and highly encouraged. We WANT people to find you and to help grow your business. Every business is unique and deserves to be recognized. But please,,,,no mass emails or spam. There is a board set up for you to share your wonderful business and what you do. You can also share someone else's business but make sure that you give all the pertinent details so other members can find them.
4. Do not air your personal issues with someone here. Reasonable debate is acceptable but it is NEVER ok to post personal slams or fault finding. The purpose of this board is to have a warm, inviting community of crafters and artists who share and encourage each other. If you feel that someone has communicated with you in an inappropriate way, either in posts or PM's, contact me and we will immediately resolve it. Remember...POSITIVE, POSITIVE, POSITIVE!!!
5. Lastly, to reinforce our purpose, we are about encouraging and empowering others to share their fantastic journeys in the crafting and fiber arts world. Please do all that's in your power to fulfill this goal by speaking encouragement and positive criticism. It's what truly grows us as artists and crafters! And....HAVE FUN!!
(These guidelines are subject to change and revision based on needs that become apparent during it's growth.)
